Chiang Mai Day 3

Chiang Mai the unexpected trip Day 1 & 2

We made a last minute booking for this trip, it felt so spontaneous and initially made us felt a little lost on the itinerary. We've always planned at least three months in advance but this time we gave ourselves only two weeks. We headed for our trip early in the morning not expecting what to look forward to this foreign land. Look..we've been to the land of smile aka Bangkok few times and enjoyed it. We tried Phuket as well but didn't really suit us. Most of the activities at Phuket has been commercialized but Chiang Mai was so much different. The traffic, day tour and walks to the night market were all relaxing and paceful. Price wise was also much more competitive in comparison with Bangkok and Phuket.

Wat Pha Singh

Thai people love their banana fritters.

The famous Keatocha Chicken Rice along Inthawarorot Road. Malaysia satay is much better.

I visited Pacamara coffee shop three out of the four days trip. They make one of the smoothest and cafe latte at Chiang Mai.

Delanna Hotel.

White temple.

Karen long neck tribe.

Miam Miam @ One Utama

Some cafe you just got to try since it's newly open and frequently visited by many. We gave it a go and didn't disappoint either. We requested for the squid ink rice to be without any salt and MSG but the cook couldn't do much because the sauce have been pre made. I think most of the raw ingredients especially the sauce are made somewhere else, well you know to keep it a secret from the chef. Still it didn't make us too thirsty after the meal. We were supposed to try their famous french toast but had to wait for over 45 minutes...maybe next time around.

Then some coffee and dessert at Whisk coffee shop. They serve one of the best coffee at 1U (definitely better than the coffee shop beside it!)

The Coffee Club Malaysia @ Subang Parade

Newly open cafe at Subang Parade, boasting over 300 outlets all over the world. The Coffee Club is originated from Australia and I'm not surprised as oz really do take their coffee seriously. I had a cafe latte while my the half had hot chocolate. Unfortunately as the cafe is still new, they won't be serving breakfast until after 10am. The drinks tasted good and I must say the place is really great for hanging out. It's spacious, well lit and above all, have comfy seats.
